gahahaha when i was little, i did NOT understand this scene at all. they walked across that log and simba grew up, so i thought, "wow they've been on that log for a long time..."

hahaha, BUT It is a pretty effective way to bypass years of simbas life to get to the important part. It just doesn't work if you're at the thinking capacity of a 7 or 8 year old sometimes XD

. But there's a lot about Disney films I didn't get when I was younger, and when I watch them now I'm like "oh, so that's what that was all about!". Like in Hunchback of Notre Dame, I'd never have guessed that Frollo was in love with Esmeralda. I only found that out when I rewatched it a few weeks ago

and oh my god Aladdin made NO SENSE TO ME. the whole time when i was little, i was thinking "why is he in that dungeon?" "why are they in china?" "where did that island come from?" etc.
haha

but somehow it was still fun to watch even when i didn't know what was going on
